5 days mount Kilimanjaro climbing via Marangu route tour package

Due to its distinction, this is the oldest and one of the most well-liked routes. It is also known as the "coca-cola route." Given its gentle slope, it is generally seen as the quickest and easiest way to the Kilimanjaro peak.

You will be given a pre-climb briefing and introduced to our crew in the morning before being driven to Marangu gate, where you will finish the entry procedures, which will take 2 to 3 hours. Following registration, you'll eat a hot lunch before setting off on your hiking expedition to Mandara camp through a dense jungle with a high likelihood of precipitation.

Moorland habitat
Before arriving at the heather and moorland zone (3000m/9842ft), the ascent continues via the zone of temperate forest. At this altitude, you can see the mountain summits. The night will be spent at Horombo Hut (3720m/12204ft), which is bordered by lobelia and gigantic groundsel, two plants native to this semi-alpine region. There are bathrooms with running water.

Habitat: Alpine Desert
After passing the last watering hole, climb up to the saddle of Kilimanjaro, which is located between the Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. As you approach the desert-like alpine zone (4000m/13123ft), the flora will start to thin away. After navigating the saddle, Kibo mountain is seen. The saddle is an alpine desert with lunar-like features. This stroll will proceed slowly. You will now start to experience symptoms of altitude sickness. Hot lunch will be served when you get to the camp. At a height of 4720m, you will spend the night at Kibo Hut. The yearly rainfall in this semi-desert region is under 250mm. At night, the ground frequently freezes, although during the day, the temperature reaches above 30 degrees.

A very early start as you go off on a zigzag path across rough volcanic scree by the light of our headlamps. To the crater rim at Gillman's Point (5,685m), which is an excellent location to relax and observe the sunrise on Mawenzi, it is a challenging five to six-hour ascent of about 1000 metres. To reach Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest peak, requires an additional 2-hour roundtrip journey. The weather is usually clear in the early morning, providing panoramic views of the crater, Mawenzi, and Mount Meru (4565m), which appears to be very close to us. We travel through a lunar landscape of volcanic rock and abandoned glaciers with their towering ice cliffs on this section of the journey. We congratulate ourselves with this amazing Achievement after taking the obligatory summit shots and enjoying the summit vistas. you swiftly descend to the Kibo Hut after retracing your steps around the crater rim (4700m). You will eat here for lunch before beginning the arduous descent to your tent at Horombo (3720m). A difficult day of hiking, but well worthwhile.

In the lower half of the journey, which goes through a pine forest, you come across more greenery as you descend from Horombo. We proceed to descend to the Marangu Gate after passing the customary start of camping on the Marangu Route at the Mandara Huts (1800m). You will pick up our credentials of ascent, bid our dependable guide, staff, and porters farewell, and have lunch with our mountain crew before being driven to our accommodation. Climbers who do have flights to catch can take a quick shower and relax at our office in Arusha before being driven to the appropriate airport for your trip.
